ACTION RESEARCH- ON THE TOPIC OF INCOMPLETE HINDI NOTE BOOK

                                                                            ABSTRACT

In schools, Action Research refers to a wide verity of evaluating, investigative and analytical research methods designed to diagnose problems or weakness – whether organizational –and help educators develop practical solutions to address them quickly and efficiently. This article is based on an action research on the topic of incomplete Hindi note book. After the analysis I came to a conclusion that the reasons for incomplete note books are difficulty in understanding Hindi language, speed while dictating notes and lack of interest towards language.

INTRODUCTION
Action research means research in action. The idea of action research was introduced by Kurtdewin and Stephen.M.Correy applied this concept first time in the field of education. We can say that action research in education is the method for improving and modifying the working system of a school and class room. The principal, teachers, administrators etc. are able to study their problems scientifically, i.e. in action research is conducted to find out the solution of various problems across the activities of the pupils, teachers and educational officers.

IDENTIFICATION OF THE PROBLEM
During my practice teaching I found that some of the students in high school class, A.J.John Memorial G.G.H.S.S Thalayolaparambu where I teach Hindi, they have incomplete notes. Some of them have not a specific note book too. All subjects are written in same book without any specific order. It makes very difficult to identify and understand each topic and points. Hindi notes were not complete and many mistakes in that notes.

POSSIBLE CAUSES CONCRNING THE PROBLEM CAN BE LISTED AS

·         Difficulty to follow the teachers while giving notes due to speed or difficulty in understanding the pronunciations
·         Unable to write notes due to lack of knowledge in Hindi language
·         Lack of knowledge in Hindi pronunciations
·         Lack of checking notes by teachers
·         Lack of interest in Hindi subjects and writing notes
ANALYSIS OF THE PROBABLE CAUSES AND FORMULATION OF ACTION HYPOTHESIS
After analyzing the probable causes the most relevant ones are handled properly by the teachers and workable in the prevailing situations may be selected for the formulation of the following action hypothesis.
If the teachers motivates the students properly and helps them to write notes by clearing their mistakes and clarify the spelling of new words while giving notes in class.

PROCEDURE AND TOOLS USED

Helps the students to write in Hindi

Teachers help those students who are unable to write the notes while the teacher given to them. Reducing the speed and also write the spelling in black board. Explain the meaning of each word and unfamiliar to them

Helps the students to improve their vocabulary in Hindi

In order to improve their vocabulary teacher introduce some new words and its meaning in each class for the students

Helps the students to understand the pronunciations in Hindi

In order to improve their pronunciation teacher teach the correct pronunciation to the students 

CONCLUSION
After conducting the above mentioned action programs the result and conclusions proves that there is a desirable change in the students. To understand the correct pronunciation of words in Hindi  that helps them to complete the notes. They all have a good and neat notes.
